What is Holistic Psychotherapy?

Holistic Psychotherapy considers a person’s mind, body, spirituality and community in understanding and meeting their unique needs. Individuals are not reduced to being seen through problematic behaviors or mental illnesses but viewed as multi-faceted and existing in a context that is relevant to truly understanding them.

Therapeutic modalities include blending traditional therapies such as Cognitive Behavior Therapy and Narrative Therapy with neuro-nutrient treatment (the use of nutrients to support optimal brain chemistry), wise mind therapy (deep relaxation and hypno-therapy), Emotional Freedom Technique (or tapping on meridians to reduce cortisol levels), and meditation, among others.

As Holistic Psychotherapy addresses multiple domains of a person’s life it offers not only a more comprehensive transformation but is more effective in creating meaningful and lasting change than traditional forms of treatment.
